Taxis

Taxis to Hong Kong Airport or AWE are convenient but expensive. Journey time from the Central business district on Hong Kong Island is around 30-40 minutes. Taxis are plentiful throughout Hong Kong apart from remote areas, and can be hailed on the street (except on roads with double yellow lines) or summoned by phone. All are metered, air-conditioned, relatively clean, but fairly expensive. Fare from Central business district to Hong Kong International Airport or AWE is approx HKD 350 (USD 45).

hk taxis

Notes:

  • All types of taxis (Urban red, New Territories green, Lantau blue) serve the airport.
  • There is no taxi access to Discovery Bay.
